As I lied on my bed thinking about my life and what I wanted to do with it, I realized that there was an increasingly vast amount of things that I want to do, yet an entire lifetime doesn’t seem like enough time to fulfill everything I want to do.

That’s when I understood the utility of reincarnation.

Think about it: you have an entire lifespan to develop into a full person; the embodiment of particular interests and specific talents. Taking myself as an example — my current and most pertinent interests are Psychology and writing. These are the disciplines that, because of my personality structure, flow most naturally and enjoyably for me. A part of me wishes I would be more inclined towards math and natural science, but I simply lack the necessary interest to fully dedicate my attention and learning energy towards these particular fields.

So, once this lifespan culminates for me, it would be ideal if I could return the Earth as an individual who is inclined towards these disciplines.  This means that my personality and thought process will adapt itself towards these particular leanings. This is actually the ideology behind reincarnation: one will return to Earth as many times as necessary, in order to learn all that is needed. This means that one will also reincarnate in a variety of life forms, since each one has something specific and unique to teach. The goal is to pretty much master every domain available; once you have reached that goal, you will achieve Nirvana, which means you don’t have to return to Earth anymore — at least for a while. This basically means that you become knowledge itself. You become a higher entity; you become the embodiment of knowledge, so to speak — a “ball of awareness”. You ARE knowledge; you ARE your virtues. You are the highest truth, that which is universal to all of mankind; so, in a way, you are connected to a greater entity.

What I find most interesting about this sort of ideology is that, the more perceptive and experienced I become, the more it *makes sense*. Granted, I only know a fraction of a fraction of what I am supposed to learn and do in life, but I am on my way to understanding;  I am slowly but surely embracing my awareness of a higher power, and it makes me feel content.

First thing’s first: Happy New Year! I have been working on the schematics of this blog for almost 6 months now, but I figured that now was the perfect time to officially launch it to the world, even if I lost all of my previous readership of wordslave.org. However, I desperately needed a new beginning, a new domain, a new outlet for expression — and I believe I have found it. I am excited to give blogging another chance; I am intrigued as to how the year will unfold. I am ready to get the ball rolling.

What does Randomspection mean? It is meant to be a combination of Random + Introspection, because that is the name best suited to the process of writing here, anyway. I ponder about a wide range of random topics, and subsequently write about them. They say that writing is thinking in action, anyhow. So… yes. That is what I intend to do here!

I have officially crossed out an item in my bucket list.

I saw The Killers LIVE last week, and it was sheer awesomeness. They sound AMAZING live, and the energy level plundering about was insane! Plus, it was surreal to see Brandon Flowers RIGHT IN FRONT of me. My favorite songs were from Hot Fuss, but really, I danced, shouted, and sang along to EVERYTHING — these were the songs which helped shape who I am today.

On the technical side, they did have a few slip-ups. For starters, the concert was scheduled to start at 8:30PM, yet they occupied the stage at 10PM. There were no opening acts involved, so I’m guessing that was the reason. A few songs started off terribly off-key (”Somebody Told Me” being one of them), but the level of energy surrounding them was such that you really didn’t care. The effects and pyrotechnia were simply astounding, and I especially loved the videos and visualizations on screen while the guys played.

All in all, it was an amazing experience — I definitely can’t wait for them to revisit!
